Jackson County publishes no official 72-hour recent-release view. Its correctional-facility page supplies the jail address and phone routing, but no public roster or three-day report. Research also found no verified county booking feed that can be filtered by a rolling window. The Sheriff app may search current inmates, yet its store descriptions do not document a released-person filter or retention period.
A three-day list is therefore a record request, not a web feed. The county Board of County Commissioners operates the jail, not Sheriff Donald L. Edenfield’s office. Call Jackson County Correctional Facility Booking at 850-482-9651, extension 218, when the custody change is recent. Ask if the person left Jackson custody, then ask whether the entry says release to the community or transfer to the Florida Department of Corrections, ICE, another county, federal custody, or another institution. That destination is central to a correct result.

Request Jackson Three-Day Releases
Florida’s records schedule defines daily Commitment and Release Lists, not a separate 72-hour series. Request three consecutive Item 22 lists or an equivalent jail-management export. State an exact start and end timestamp. A phrase such as “the last three days” can shift while staff process the request, and it may not tell the custodian whether the requester means calendar days or a rolling 72-hour interval.
- Choose the precise interval, including local start and end times. For a weekend, identify the Friday and Monday boundaries sought.
- Submit the request through the Jackson County public-records portal, by phone, mail, or in person.
- Ask for three Item 22 Commitment and Release Lists or one equivalent export covering the whole interval.
- Request release method, date and time, holds or detainers, and the destination or receiving authority where available.
- Ask for nonexempt fields after redaction rather than treating one exempt field as a reason to withhold the full record.
Requests may be anonymous and need no stated purpose. The public-record line is 850-482-9633. Inspection hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If a named person is the goal, include a date of birth, booking date, or booking number when known.
When contact information is provided, Jackson’s policy calls for acknowledgment within three business days. Completion has no fixed deadline because search volume, redaction, and technical effort vary. For a small response, the first three qualifying monthly requests can be free when work stays at or below 15 minutes and production stays at or below ten pages. Otherwise, the county lists 15 cents for a one-sided page, 20 cents for a two-sided page, and $1 for a certified page. Ask for an estimate before costs are incurred and narrow the range if the estimate is high.
Jackson 72-Hour Records Exist
The absence of a Jackson County release feed does not erase the underlying daily record. GS2 Item 22 covers people booked into and released from a correctional facility during each 24-hour period. Three consecutive lists can form a 72-hour picture, or the county can produce an equivalent export if its system supports that query. This date-bounded method is the distinctive local answer to a missing online list.
The GS2 minimum for the record copy is one anniversary year after release once applicable audits are released. The rule is a minimum retention term, not a public display rule. Nor does it guarantee that every field lacks an exemption. If the three-day period is older, ask whether a permanent jail docket summary or the individual booking record still identifies the custody event.
Jackson 72-Hour Release Fields
The requested daily lists may include the fields defined in the state schedule, subject to local format and lawful redaction. Review each day separately before combining the results. A person booked and released within the same three-day span can appear in more than one event, while a transfer may end the county booking without placing the person in the community.

Ask for the individual release or transfer entry when the daily report lacks exact time, destination, or a receiving agency. That record offers more reliable proof than a copied name on a combined list.
Jackson Weekend Release Boundaries
A Friday-through-Monday request can catch events spread across a weekend, but no research source established how Jackson’s internal report draws its daily cutoff. The facility may use calendar days, rolling hours, or another system boundary. State the desired timestamps and ask staff to identify the range used in the export. This avoids losing an event that falls just before midnight or counting one twice.
Weekend release processing, the court docket, VINE, and the records portal have different clocks. A court order can appear before the jail finishes checks and resolves holds. VINE may send an event after the agency transmits its update. The portal response will usually arrive later because it is a formal records process. None of those timing differences should be described as the county jail’s publication cadence, which is not disclosed.

Verify Jackson Three-Day Releases
A daily list tells when Jackson custody ended, but the method and next custodian determine what that event means. Bond, recognizance, sentence completion, dismissal, or court order may lead to community departure. A transfer to FDC, another jail, USMS, or ICE means the person remained in custody. A missing current-jail result alone cannot tell those outcomes apart.
Use the Jackson Clerk docket to explain legal authority. Anonymous public access can reveal a bond order, dismissal, judgment, sentence, or probation entry. Yet the Clerk warns that online data are not the official record, and active warrant or capias cases can be suppressed from remote view. The docket may precede physical release and does not necessarily list the exit minute. Pair it with the jail record instead of choosing one timestamp and ignoring the other.

If records disagree, compare the booking number, date of birth, aliases, charge, case number, and facility. Start with the custodian that controlled the person at the disputed time.
